Submission Guidelines
So you want to submit your map file, utility or your movie to us and are not sure what
the procedure is? You've come to the right place. Below are the instructions for
uploading information.
General Uploading Rules:
Read the guidelines! Then prepare your files and include a readme.txt file with your information.
We recommend that you use an archive program like WinZip, WinRar or TugZip when you prepare
your file(s) for upload. This will keep all associated files together in the same archive.
BE SURE you ALSO upload a short readme.txt text file, containing your name, your email
(we will never post your email on the website proper), and the name of your
uploaded file. If you submit your file(s) in an archive BE SURE TO INCLUDE THE
INFORMATION TEXT FILE in the archive.
If you upload a raw file like 'mymovie.wmv' name your short text file something
like 'mymovie.wmv.txt' or whatever), It just makes our lives far easier.
Map and File Upload Guidelines:
Only upload maps, models, tags or utilities that can be used with Halo 2 for Windows Vista . We DO NOT carry Halo 2 Xbox files.
NO adult content, nudity or profanity.
Be sure the map has a unique name:
Be sure the map includes a working Oddball game type: This is so we can take screenshots of the map.
If you want to be sure that your map name has not been used then use the search feature. Search is your friend.. Duplicated map names will be rejected
All Map files, Models, Tags and utilities MUST be submitted in a compression archive like ZIP, RAR, ARJ...etc. Raw map, model, or Tag files will be deleted without review. Use whatever archiving program you like to send us your map, however we WILL re-archive all content into ZIP format. Why? Because we like the ZIP format.
Include a readme.txt file in every archive. If you are too lazy to include a simple
text files with your name and information then we will be too lazy to either post your file or if we do not give you credit for it.
This is not rocket science.
If you are uploading 3D Models or Tags you must include a screenshot, render or in-game image of the model or Tag or we will not host it
By submitting your file you grant Halo Maps and UXB Internet a non-exclusive non-revocable license (not ownership) to display, promote, or
modify your file and the information in the submission herein, in whole or in part, in any form or format now in existence or yet to be
invented (ZIP, RAR, Flash, WMV, PSP, etc.), on Halo Maps and its affiliate and partner sites and networks.
All submissions will be reviewed for content and quality and we reserve the right
to reject without notice any content we deem unsuitable.
