To start the DirectX Diagnostic Tool in Windows Vista, click Start , type dxdiag in the Start Search box, and then press ENTER.
If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type the password, or click Continue. The hardware must pass a system check when you run the Setup program or when you run the game. Operating systemThe game requires Windows Vista. If Windows Vista is not installed on the computer, you receive one of the following error messages: This program requires Microsoft Windows Vista or Microsoft Windows Server 2003. The process entry point CreatePorcessWithTokenW could not be located in the dynamic link library ADVAPI32.dll. Note Halo 2 for Windows Vista will not run on a Microsoft Windows Server 2003-based computer. Halo 2 dedicated server will run on a Windows Server 2003-based computer.
